Juneteenth in the Peak started with a simple belief that when we come together to honor where we've been, we build something stronger for where we're going. Founded in 2021 by T.J. Evans and Mayor Jacques K. Gilbert, this free community festival in the heart of Apex has grown into something that belongs to all of us.
Six years later, we're still showing up. For the history. For each other. For what's possible when a community decides to celebrate together. Collectively building tables for each other and pulling up a seat.
Food trucks. Vendors. Live performances. History exhibits. Family activities. And people who believe that community is worth fighting for.
June 20th. 73 Hunters St, Apex, NC. Free and open to all. Be here.
